KSA Coaches

Artie LaGreca: (1991-Present)                         Coached the Midwood High School Girls Basketball team to a record of 238-73 over 13 seasons at the helm. Coach LaGreca was named Brooklyn Coach of the Year 6 times in the last decade, and was part of the biggest turnaround in Division 1 College Basketball as part of the Brooklyn College staff in the 80’s.

Evan Pickman: (1981-Present)                      Formerly the Head Coach at the College of Staten  Island, Coach Pickman was an NBA scout for 20  years with the Los Angeles Clippers and is now  coaching high school boys basketball in New                                         York City.

Regis White: (1994-Present)                                 Regis is a former All-Ohio Basketball and Football player. He went on to star at Villanova University and now teaches and coaches high school basketball in Ohio.

GOLF

Peter Kinne: (2011-Present)                                     A native of Great Barrington, Peter is the Head Golf Coach at Berkshire School in nearby Sheffield, MA. A 2 handicap, Peter is able to instruct his players on all aspects of golf. Peter is also the Head Boy's Basketball Coach at Berkshire School and will be periodically assisting in the KSA basketball program as well.

GYMNASTICS

Lyn Horiye: (1987-Present)                                   Lyn was an outstanding international gymnast and has been tremendously succesful in his high school coaching career- winning the California state championship numerous times and being named California Coach of the Year six times. Lyn has the ability to teach and help young gymnasts at all levels and is avery personable trainer who truly enjoys working with his students.

 

TENNIS

Gajapathy Varadhajulu: (1980-Present)               "Gaja" leads an outstanding tennis program at KSA. He was a terrific player in his early career and still is quite successful in the Indian over 50 circuit. Gajaworks with all levels of ability and is a very knowledgeable instructor with a kind, encouraging manner with all of the campers.

Vasudeva Reddy: (1995 - Present)                     Reddy is one of India'stop players and now a respected instructor. Reddy playedprofessionally for a number of years and represented India as a Davis Cup member and also as a junior at Wimbledon. He has outstanding knowledge of all aspects of tennis and can bring out the best in top level players.

LACROSSE & FOOTBALL

Gerry Keane: (2008-Present)                            Gerry's coaching career started in 1970 at the Pingry  School in New Jersey. Former Head Master and  Lacrosse coach at the Queen Anne School in Upper  Marlboro, Maryland. Also has coached high school  football for 15 years. Is credited with starting multiple   lacrosse programs throughout New Jersey and Maryland.

SOCCER

 Joe Santos: (1977 - Present)

 Joe is a tremendous teacher of soccer fundamentals.  He was a star  collegiate and professional player  and  became an outstanding high  school coach in the  Albany region  of New York. Joe can spot talent  and  work with players to make them better, and campers  love working with him.

 

Jonathan Moodey: (2011-Present)  

Jon joins us for his first season at KSA in 2011. Jon is the Head Boy's Soccer Coach at nearby Berkshire  School and has compiled an impressive record there. Jon is a  soccer enthusiast and has had

tremendous success, both as a  player and a coach. After graduating from Holderness  School, he went on to Kenyon College where he captained the soccer team. Ever since college, Jon  has been coaching soccer and at Berkshire he has l  led his team to the New England Prep School Soccer  Tournament for the past three years.

 

SWIMMING

Caroline White: (1984 - Present)    Caroline was a member of the  Nonington College  Swim Team and  has been the Aquatics Director at  the  Wilton Family Y in Wilton, CT.  She is a certified Water  Safety  Instructor and also holds CPR and                             Lifeguard  Training certifications.

 

 

WEIGHT TRAINING & FOOTBALL

Bill Selwyn: (1989 - Present)          

Bill teaches Physical Education and coaches football  in Florida during the school year. He brings to KSA a  wealth of knowledge regarding fitness and training that  benefits all  of our campers greatly. He  develops and  administers    programs for campers looking to prepare  for their upcoming school seasons and gives them an  ability to continue training once they leave                              camp throughout the school year.
