KSA Newsletter -- Spring 2008

Summer is just around the corner so I figure it's time to take off the construction boots and let everyone know what's going on at camp!  We're moving along quickly with the changes and renovations to our beautiful new camp, and I am more amazed each day at how well it lays out for our program.   We have just finished all the clearing and grading for the new courts and fields, and this week the asphalt goes down for 7 new basketball and tennis courts.  The baseball area is presently getting a new layer of top soil and will be hydro-seeded and sodded in the next few days, and the golf range has just been finished as well.  The track is being excavated and layered around the soccer field next week, and we're hoping to get Irwin on it to test his 400 meter time soon.  Next month we will erect the new Gymnastics and Fitness Center.

   We are in a great area for camping now in the Berskshires.  Not only is Great Barrington a terrific town, with fantastic restaurants, theater, shopping, etc.. but we also very near quite a few camps, and our inter-camp program should continue as strong as ever.  

   We will be having an Open House to show our new facility to the public on May 31st, from 10am until 4pm.  If you are interested in attending please email jodi@kutsherssportsacademy.com and let her know.  We’ll have food, games, music and guided tours and I’m sure it will be a fun day.  If the weather is bad we will postpone until the next day.

  We’re looking forward to our 40th great summer, and this one will be extra special in our new location.  It’s great to have a new camp, but it is also tremendous to have our program and staff that have been with us for over 300 years of combined experience!  Here is a list of our returning staff for 2008:
